Community Guidelines
Last updated: February 2026
Welcome to Co-Splay! We're building a safe, supportive, and creative space for cosplayers and fans. These guidelines explain what we expect from everyone in our community. They're written in plain language — no legal jargon. Think of these as the house rules. Follow them, and we'll all have a great time.
The Golden Rule
Treat others the way you want to be treated. Respect, kindness, and creativity are what make this community special.
What Co-Splay Is
Co-Splay is a safe-for-work (SFW) platform where cosplayers share their craft and connect with fans. This is NOT an adult content platform. We're focused on the art, the costumes, the characters, and the community.
Who Can Join
- You must be 18 or older to create an account
- You must be 18 or older to become a Creator
- You must use your real identity for Creator accounts (we verify this)
- One account per person — no duplicates
When We Say "SFW," We Mean It
Safe for work means content you'd be comfortable showing your employer, your parents, or a random stranger. If you're wondering "is this too much?" — it probably is.
Examples that ARE okay:
- Form-fitting costumes (superhero suits, etc.)
- Swimsuit characters (if it's the actual character design)
- Tasteful boudoir-style photos with full coverage
Examples that ARE NOT okay:
- Lingerie or underwear (unless it's literally the character's costume)
- Suggestive poses designed to be sexual
- "Implied nudity" shots
- Content that focuses on body parts rather than the costume
When in doubt, keep it classy.
How We Handle Problems
- We review reported content within 24 hours
- First offense: Content removed + warning
- Second offense: Temporary suspension
- Third offense: Permanent ban
- Serious violations: Immediate permanent ban (no warnings)
We don't play favorites. These rules apply to everyone equally — whether you have 10 followers or 10,000.
Respect Copyright
Cosplay exists in a gray area with copyright. Here's how we handle it:
- You can cosplay any character (that's transformative fan art)
- You CANNOT repost others' photos without permission
- You CANNOT claim someone else's costume as your own
- You CANNOT sell patterns/designs you copied without permission
- If a rights holder asks us to remove something, we will
Money Stuff
If you're a Creator earning money on Co-Splay:
- Deliver what you promise (don't take money and ghost)
- Be clear about what subscribers get
- No bait-and-switch (don't promise SFW then try to redirect elsewhere)
- No promoting other platforms where you sell explicit content
- Handle refund requests professionally
Being a Good Fan
If you're a subscriber supporting Creators:
- Be respectful in messages and comments
- No demanding content or being entitled
- No harassment if a Creator doesn't respond immediately
- Don't screenshot/share paid content without permission
- Don't ask Creators for explicit content (they'll ban you, and so will we)
Reporting Problems
See something that breaks these rules? Report it.
- Click the report button on the content
- Tell us what's wrong
- We'll review it within 24 hours
- You can report anonymously
False reports are also against the rules. Don't abuse the system.
Your Privacy
We take privacy seriously:
- Creators can block users
- You control who messages you
- We never share your personal info with other users
- See our Privacy Policy for the full details
If You Get In Trouble
If we take action on your account:
- We'll tell you why
- You can appeal within 14 days
- Appeals are reviewed by a different team member
- Our decision on appeal is final
We Can Update These
These guidelines may change as the platform grows. We'll notify you of major changes. Continuing to use Co-Splay means you accept the current guidelines.
